Are you interested in learning Art and its History as an independent student, achieving better results in your IB test or improving your overall performance in class?
The aim of this course is to assist IB exam-sitters or independent students in their study of Art in the form of personalized one-hour lessons. Various art movements will be studied, key concepts on curatorship will be discussed and analytical skills will be practiced rigorously. Works by famous critics, both of art and culture, will be discussed in order to help the student develop and perfect the required methodology.
If the student is preparing for an IB test, there will be a focus on essay production, critical writing and contextual analysis. The student will also be encouraged to discuss his or her portfolio ideas and all written content for it can be developed in class.
